There was a woman from the American Cancer Society that gave me a call one day and asked me how I was doing, and I told her what my biggest concern was, which was not knowing how to tell my kids. It was really difficult telling the kids, but the American Cancer Society has a letter that's addressed to your spouse, and other, your daughter, your son, and it has words on it that talk about what's happened. And then Dolores and Lenore talked about typical questions that kids would ask. And everything that they had shared with me were things that I could share back with them, and that was very helpful. |
