The axillary node dissection was done at the time of the surgery. She was going to do a needle locate before I went in for the surgery, but she decided not to put me through that. My tumor was located on the inner lower quadrant of my right breast. So she did the surgery and took wide margins and these scars right around the areola and of course the node dissection, she did 21 nodes, that was a long wait to find out the results of that. That was a long 3 day wait, but mine were all negative. |
