During this whole experience, there were just lots of little facts that surfaced that made it so much easier to care for him and to understand why he showed his love the way he did. It helped heal. There was a lot of closure that was going on during this time and if we hadn't been there, we would have missed that closure. I think having so many people die ahead of him also helped give us perspective in realizing that this is something that we needed to be a part of or we would miss and then there perhaps would be a part of us incomplete.
