When students have received data from their questionnaires, they analyze the data and prepare a report to be distributed to those who participated. Distribution may occur via e-mail or through a report published on a Web page.

Materials and Resources
In developing our lessons and activities, we made some assumptions about the hardware and software that would be available in the classroom for teachers who visit the LETSNet Website. We assume that teachers using our Internet-based lessons or activities have a computer with the necessary hardware components (mouse, keyboard, and monitor) as well as a World Wide Web browser. In the section below, we specify any "special" hardware or software requirements for a lesson or activity (in addition to those described above) and the level of Internet access required to do the activity.
- Special hardware requirements: Access to a server if you plan to publish reports on the Web.
- Special software requirements: An HTML editor if you plan to publish reports on the Web.
- Internet access: Any speed connection will be sufficient if you choose to send out the reports via e-mail. If you would like to do the reports using a Web page then either a medium-speed (28,000 BPS via modem) or high-speed (greater than 1 MBPS via network) is preferable.
- When a sufficient number of responses have been received, students compile data that they have received. Again, have students develop reports on what they found from the data, using statistics appropriate for the grade level at which they are working. Students should identify the major sources and types of litter that were found across all the communities.
- Distribute reports with students conclusions to the classrooms that participated in the research. You may choose to distribute the reports via e-mail or through a Web page.
