To help DMAT students become familiar with the digital media arts industry and to build a community of professionals, Heeter has been working with DMAT alumni to start an "industry mentors" program. These alumni have given their email addresses and agreed to let students contact them with questions about life in the real world and how to go about looking for jobs. This group is also a miniature alumni association. Those in the Bay area are invited to MSU DMAT gatherings several times each year.

If you want to be a DMAT industry mentor, please contact Carrie Heeter (heeter@msu.edu)!

Heeter also works with students who have demonstrated aptitude and dedication in the DMAT domain to help place them in internships and jobs, and to provide an academic support base for students in the Bay area who are here for internships or to complete their academic program.

If you are interested in having a special DMAT student work as an intern at your company, or work with you on an independent study project of mutual interest, please also contact Carrie Heeter (heeter@msu.edu).
