One thing in the beginning, when people have physical pain, their emotional pain also gets worse. And so, you know, every couple has their disagreements and their ways of interacting. But at that point, Mickey was kind of at her wits end and Lou was pretty angry, too. They had their own styles of communicating. And they were kind of communicating right past each other. So my job was to listen to both people and do some translating and make some suggestions. Mickey found them helpful. I was really glad to be of use in that way. Beacuse sometimes a person from the outside can be objective. Those two were both exhausted and they were in their own kinds of pain.
