Tapering the dosage

I was fortunate. Eventually the pain did go away. I was on the medication for several months. And when I was on the medication I couldn't really tell. Because I was anxious not to stay on it any longer than I needed, every month or two I would try tapering the dose down. And it was still very much there so I would go back to the original dose. Then all of a sudden, after about six or seven months after I'd tapered it down, um, not bad. So I tapered it a little bit more and within about a month I got off of it totally. Nobody has a good explanation of why it comes for certain people, why it goes. Nobody really seems to know.
