- Combine all-purpose flour and whole wheat flours, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Blend well.
- Stir in brown sugar and mix well.
- Cut in shortening with a pastry blender for 2 knives.
- Stir in oatmeal and mix well.
- Put in a large container. Label and store in a cool, dry place. Use within 10-12 weeks.
