Medium White Sauce

Quantities Ingredients
1 tablespoonmargarine
2 tablespoonsflour
1 cupskim or reconstituted nonfat dry milk
1/2 teaspoonsalt
 dash pepper

  1. Melt margarine in the saucepan and mix in flour to make a smooth paste.
  2. Add milk slowly to paste and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thick.
  3. Add salt and pepper. Cook 3 minutes longer.

NOTES: Serving Suggestions: This sauce works well in casseroles.Variation: Use 1/2 cup of Magic Mix plus 1 cup water in place of margarine, flour and milk.
