Stuffed Green Peppers
Number of Servings 4   Serving Size 1 stuffed pepper

Quantities Ingredients
4large green peppers
1 poundground turkey
1 cuprice, cooked
1/2 cuponion, chopped
1 1/2 cuptomato sauce
1/2 teaspoonsalt (optional)
 pepper to taste

  • sharp knife

  • saucepan
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoon
  • casserole dish with cover
  • strainer or colander

  1. Cut around the stem of the green peppers. Remove the seeds and the pulpy part of the peppers.
  2. Wash, then cook the green peppers in boiling water for five minutes.
  3. In saucepan, brown ground turkey. When turkey is cooked, add rice, onion, 1/2 cup tomato sauce and black pepper.
  4. Stuff each pepper with the mixture and place in casserole dish. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the green peppers.
  5. Cover and bake for 30 minutes at 350¼F.
