1/2 cup | onion, finely chopped |
1/2 pound | ground beef |
2 1/2 cups | noodles, cooked |
1 3/4 cups | boiling water |
5 | carrots, thinly sliced |
1/2 teaspoon | pepper |
1 | bouillon cube or 1 tsp. bouillon granules (optional) |
1/2 cup | Medium White Sauce (see page Sauces-5) |

Instructions |
- measuring cup
- sharp knife
- cutting board
- frying pan and cover
- saucepan or tea kettle
- mixing spoon
- strainer or colander

- Brown ground beef and onion in frying pan. Drain off excess fat.
- Add all other ingredients except the white sauce to the beef mixture.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add a little more water if necessary.

NOTES: Variation: Substitute salt for bouillon. To decrease/salt levels, prepare without the salt or bouillon.The nutritional analysis is based on using medium fat ground beef; if lean beef is used the calories and fat would be lower. |
