Chocolate Pudding
Number of Servings 4   Serving Size about 1/2 cup
Preparation Time 15 minutes   Cooking Time Chill about 3 hours
         
Quantities Ingredients
1 cupBasic Pudding Mix (see page Mixes-1)
1/3 cupcocoa
2 cupswater
1 teaspoonvanilla


Equipment Instructions
  • measuring cup
  • medium saucepan
  • mixing spoon
  • measuring spoon
  • 1 large or 4 small bowls

  1. Mix Basic Pudding Mix and cocoa in to saucepan.
  2. Add water and cook over low heat until thickened.
  3. Add vanilla when thickened.
  4. Put pudding into one or more bowls and chill.
  5. Serve cold.

NOTES: Variations: For Vanilla Pudding: omit cocoa and add 1 tablespoon margarine to hot pudding. Increase vanilla to 1 1/2 teaspoon.For Lemon Pudding: omit cocoa and vanilla. Add 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract and 1 tablespoon margarine before removing from heat. For Banana Pudding: omit cocoa and add 1 or 2 sliced mashed bananas to cooled pudding.
