Golden Brown Apple Rings

Quantities Ingredients
1 cupMaster Mix (see Mixes-7)
1egg
1/2 cuplow-fat milk
2medium apples, washed, peeled, and cored*
 vegetable oil or spray


Equipment Instructions
  • mixing bowl
  • measuring cups
  • sharp knife or vegetable peeler
  • cutting board
  • fork or rotary beater
  • frying pan or griddle
  • pancake turner

  1. Put Master Mix, egg and milk in mixing bowl and beat with rotary blender or fork until smooth.
  2. Oil a griddle or frying pan (or use vegetable spray).
  3. Cut apples crosswise in 1/8 inch slices. *(To core apples, use a sharp knife or vegetable peeler to remove the core and seeds from the middle of the apple.
  4. Dip apple slices into batter made in Step Cook the apple slices on the hot griddle or frying pan until golden brown, turning once with the pancake turner

NOTES: Variation: Biscuit mix (such as Jiffy Mix) can be used instead of the Master Mix.Serving Suggestions: Serve with syrup, jelly, or confectioners sugar.
