Waldorf Salad

Quantities Ingredients
1 cupcelery, washed and diced
2apples, washed and diced
1/2 cuplow fat vanilla yogurt
1 teaspoonsugar (optional)
1 teaspoonlemon juice

  • measuring cup
  • measuring spoons
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • mixing spoon

  1. Combine celery, apples, and walnuts (optional) in a mixing bowl.
  2. In the other bowl combine yogurt with lemon juice and sugar; add to the celery and apple mixture. Mix the dressing into the fruit.
  3. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

NOTES: Variation: Light salad dressing can be used instead of yogurt.Serving Suggestion: Serve with a meal or separately as a snack or dessert. Add 1/2 cup walnuts for a nutty variation, calories and fat will be higher.
