Cheeseburger Pie

Quantities Ingredients
1 1/2 cupMaster Mix (see page Mixes-7)
6 tablespoonscold water
1/4 cuponion, chopped
1 poundlean ground beef
1/4 tablespoonspepper
1/2 cupshredded cheese
1/2 teaspoonoregano
1/4 teaspoonsalt (optional)
8 ouncestomato sauce
1/2 cupbread crumbs
1/4 cupgreen pepper, chopped

  1. Heat oven to 350¡F.
  2. Mix Master Mix and the water until a stick batter forms. Spread on the bottom and sides of a pie pan to form a crust.
  3. Bake crust for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  4. While crust is baking, brown ground beef, onion and green pepper until beef is drained; drain fat.
  5. Stir in all other ingredients except cheese. Spoon the mixture into baked pie crust.
  6. Sprinkle cheese on top of the meat. Return pie to the oven and bake for 10 more minutes to melt cheese.

NOTES: The nutritional analysis is for 1/5 pie. It is based on using lean ground beef. Cheddar cheese was used in the analysis.
