- Brown ground beef and onion in large frying pan, drain excess fat.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except beans; simmer covered for 20 minutes.
- Stir in beans; heat through. Refrigerate leftovers.

NOTES: Serving Suggestion: Serve with grated cheese and whole wheat bread to provide a meal with four food groups.Variation: Substitute ground turkey for ground beef. One cup of diced turkey could also be used. Add more chill powder if desired. The nutrient analysis is based on using medium fat ground beef; calories and fat will be lower if lean beef for turkey are used. |
