Meat Loaf

Quantities Ingredients
1egg
1/3 cupskim or reconstituted nonfat dry milk
2 slicesbread, torn into small pieces
1/4 cuponion, finely chopped
1 poundlean ground beef


Equipment Instructions
  • measuring cup
  • sharp knife
  • cutting board
  • mixing bowl (large)
  • loaf pan or baking dish
  • grater

  1. Beat egg in a large bowl.
  2. Add milk and bread pieces. Let soak a few minutes.
  3. Add onion and ground beef to the egg/milk/bread mixture and mix.
  4. Shape meat into a loaf or ball in the baking pan or loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350¡F for one hour.

NOTES: Variation: Add 1/2 teaspoon oregano in step Spread two tablespoons catsup on loaf before baking.
