For the second consecutive year, Ameritech has made nearly 45,000 copies of The Big Deal Book of Technology for K-12 educators available to superintendents, principals, and technology coordinators in its service area in the states of IL, MI, OH, and WI. The book is designed to provide K-12 educators with some of the best buys and savings on technology-related products and services, including some offerings from Ameritech.
The Big Deal Book of Technology serves as a semiannual resource. Approximately one-half of the book's pages provides access to some $300 million in grant opportunities, sources of free technology-related materials and more than 100 noncommercial websites for research and enrichments, many of which offer free lesson plans and teaching ideas.
In addition, a URL Find-It-Fast Directory section provides addresses and description of education company websites. These sites offer up-to-the-minute product information, free resources, and lesson plans.
The Big Deal Book of Technology is distributed in each of the four states in cooperation with the following nonprofit educational organizations: IL Computing Educators, Michigan Association of School Administrators, Buckeye Association of School Administrators, and the Association of WI School Administrators. |
