Pioneering Partners is dedicated to achieving improved learning through expanded use of technology in the classroom. The Pioneering Partners Foundation meets this goal by investing in educators who have been successful in their use of technology. These risk-taking educators use their experiences to show others how to make technology a transforming tool for students and teachers. A growing cadre of educators is sharing its work as part of a knowledge base of successful practices. The emphasis is on formal dissemination of these practices.
This year, 24 teams of educators from IL, IN, MI, MN, NY, OH, PA, and WI were selected to be Pioneering Partners and attended an educational summit to enhance their learning of how to disseminate their innovations. 5 of these teams were additionally honored as Ameritech Pioneering Partners teams. They will receive additional funding to make presentations at national, state, and local conferences and to community organizations, sharing their success stories of how technology can positively impact teaching and learning.
