I was born in Iowa, but I had an Aunt that lived in Colorado and she took myself and my sister and put us both through nurses training here. World War II broke out. I met a man that I fell in love with, and proceeded to marry him and stayed that way for 20 years. And then I went back into nurses training again becasue my son came to Michigan and I stayed with him while my husband went to Japan. And during those years I got a divorce but I stayed with my son. And I love nursing, I stayed there for 20 years, retired in 1982. Then I developed colon cancer.
