Protecting and shielding
What it meant to me
The other danger is that you begin to protect and shield. You don't lift your arm as much, which isn't good because then you begin to get some restricted arm motion. I mean, I've had extremely good motion. If you start shielding and protecting then that is one of the dangers of trying to "live" with the pain is you're going to guard it and you're going to begin to lose some muscle tone and movement.
