One of the documents resulting from The National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) project, an International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) initiative, describes what K-12 students should know about technology and be able to do with technology.
This NETS document, the first in a series, delineates national standards for the educational use of technology and links performance indicators to the standards. Teachers can use these standards and performance indicators as guidelines for planning technology-based activities in which students achieve success in learning, communication, and life skills.
