Peggy's Husband's Assessment

My husband's pain control

A week and a half

10 weeks of intense pain

Sharp chest pain

Active to the end

His biggest fear

His biggest fear

His biggest fear with his disease was pain. The fear it could not be controlled. I think he must have had pain a long time before I knew it because when his diagnosis was made he didn't have the fear, the anger of a normal patient that is first told they have an untreatable cancer. I think in his heart he knew what he had before he even went to a physician. When the doctor came up to him and said, "Jack, you can get through this with no pain," he believed him. For the most part, except the failure of the one epidermal, he really did not have much pain. It was very well controlled.
