I think I've been more worried about negative side effects like addiction or just the amount of medications I have in my system. But my doctor has focused on explaining to me the benefits of the medication and again stressing the fact that all the medications designed for pain work best as preventatives, rather than once you're in the, oh my God I can't stand it any more situation.
