Withdrawal
He said I was an addict
Found a pain management program
Back on medication
Help is hard to find
What if I can't afford it?
He promised me that he would put me on the smallest amount, and elevate it as I needed it. They would start me off in a very low amount and keep it there until I--me--will say it's not enough, I need to have more because I have a right--I have a right to live without pain. I also have a right not to be considered an addict because I am on pain medication. Everytime I tell anybody that I'm taking a morphine-based drug, "Oh, you'll become an addict. You'll become an addict." Its come to the point where I just don't tell people anymore. "Are you on medication?" "some minor medication" and I drop it at that point.
