Out of the blue
The pain was real
Difficult pain to treat
The pain was from treatment
Incredible pain from chemotherapy
Nerve pain was a 10
As a result of the chemotherapy, it appears I have nerve damage to all the minor nerves leading to my skin surface. It is called neuralgia. What I've experienced since the transplant is a burning pain that sometimes is over my entire body and sometimes just in places where, when it is severe, it feels like somebody poured gasoline on me and lit a match. When the neuralgia pain is bad it is definitely a ten. The pain in the hospital actually for me was easier to deal with because I felt there was going to be an end to it.
