, I think, because my pain is not from cancer itself but rather from the legacy of the chemotherapy, I haven't had radiation to treat the pain or any surgical intervention. I did have a very thorough work-up on the pain to make it clear where the pain was coming from and to make sure there were no underlying conditions that were not being found. My original oncologist and the doctor who performed the bone marrow transplant were not helpful with this pain. I think because they are less experienced in dealing with people after the crisis of the cancer has been resolved.
