Refridgerator

Some foods are best stored in the refrigerator. The best temperature for the inside of your fridge is between 33 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Between 40 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit is the bacterial "Danger Zone," where bacteria that spoils food grows the fastest.

When storing foods in the 'fridge, always make sure that they are stored properly to avoid contamination. Store raw meat on the bottom shelf, covered tightly. Vegetables stay freshest in the vegetable drawers and the crisper. Also, always leave space between containers so that air can circulate around them properly and they will cool faster.

If you intend to use your meat in more than two days, it's best to store it in the freezer and thaw it before use. It's also important to make sure to take foods like meats, milk, and deli salad home as fast as you can, to make sure it gets into the fridge right away.
