Panic from pain
The pain I had from the ulceration of the digestive system was an extremely sharp, current kind of pain. The way they dealt with that pain was a constant morphine drip plus one of those pumps that you can, a self-regulating pump to give yourself additional morphine. I remember being in pain and needing the medication but I really did not like how I felt being on morphine. So it is really a hard call between needing relief for the pain and using narcotics.
