Meat

The USDA recommends 2-3 servings from the meat group each day. A serving size from this group would be a piece of cooked beef about the size of a deck of cards, or a cup of baked beans about the size of an adult fist.

It's a good idea to choose lean meats instead of meats with a lot of fat. The "meat" group, however, doesn't just include meat, but also includes alternative sources of protein such as nuts and beans.
