A bump on my left shin bone
The word "cancer"
The first time I stood up
It was different at home
I appreciate health more
I don't identify with cancer
In the hospital, though, I think it was bearable just because I had so many people around there who seemed to understand what I was going through. When I got home from the hospital there was a completely different thing cause, you know, my mom goes off to work and I was alone in the house with this big, swollen leg. I'm like, uh, what do I do. My friends would want to come over and drink beer or whatever and I'd be like, no, I'm not really up for that right now. I don't think a lot of the people outside of the hospital had a really good idea of what was happening to me.
